Proving that there is gold in everything (after all, waste management is a multi-billion pound business), "Dirty Fan Male" is a publishing and theatrical cult hit in the U.K. Dirty Fan Male started when two lads named Jonny Trunk and Duncan Wiseby hit on the idea of recording a collection of the filthiest, funniest, weirdest, sleaziest fan letters ever sent to men's magazine and tabloid newspaper models from 1996 to 2002. (The Internet has killed off the once popular one-armed hobby of writing letters on paper to sexy models.) Trunk's sister was a naughty model and he ran her fan club, which sparked everything. The actual letters themselves, many handwritten (of course), are photographed and published in the HarperCollins book, not just transcribed, adding a nice visual touch of psychosis and sexual delirium. Dirty Fan Male started off slow, then snowballed as it picked up fans. Now it's the subject of a Channel 4 television documentary. Trunk and Wiseby also have a touring stage show that's become a hit. They read the letters in various stentorian voices and characters (like actors Cary Grant, Michael Caine and James Mason) that add another hilarious layer. Why mention Dirty Fan Male on LinseysWorld? Because they project images of various big-name girls on stage during their show and one of the pictures is of Linsey lifting two lavender barbells. The show producers are planning to tour the States and Australia. Fans of fans of adult models? What a concept.
